Our New Home

My mother in law and a few others have been asking me to post pictures of our new house for quite awhile now. So, I am finally getting around to it. I actually had video taped the house like 3 times, but the lighting in the house is crappy and so it didn't work. I was hoping that it would so that you could get the virtual tour of our house. But I guess we will just have to settle for pictures. So Michelle and Shauna this is for you since you have been so patiently waiting.

This is the front of the house.
The front living room.
Mine and Taylor's bedroom. I could use some decorating tips in here!!!!!
Kamryn and Brynlee's room.
The bathroom.
The Dining area. This is the new table Michelle. It's kinda hard to see cause it is so dark in there.
The backyard. Notice that the snow has melted. Yay! I am just crossing my fingers that it doesn't snow again. We are so READY for spring.
The kitchen. I hate the color of the cabinets and so I might eventually stain it a different color. Our landlord is pretty cool about updating the house (as long as he doesn't have to do it).
Now on to the downstairs. As I was taking this picture Brynlee figured out how to go downstairs. She did so good, and I couldn't believe how well she did without anybody telling her what to do. I don't like the color of these walls, in fact I hate them and so I hope to be able to paint them a tan color. I hate pink walls, it looks terrible.
The hallway downstairs.
The other half of the hallway.
The laundry room/storage room. Gotta love the unfinished walls!
The playroom. This will eventually be the girls' bedroom, but for now we put toys in there to play with. We are also getting an extra bed for guests in here. Once again the lovely pink walls.
The downstairs living room.

Noses

For those of you who don't know what Noses is....Taylor made up a different way for Kamryn to give us kisses. She runs up to you and rubs her nose across yours as hard as she can. It's actually quite funny, but of course only a dad would think of something like that.

My little helper

Brynlee loves to help mommy clean the house. I think she just makes it harder for me than anything. But I think it is so cute that she wants to help out. Notice the kix cereal on the floor? She decided that she wanted to help clean it up. And she eventually got it all cleaned up, after many times of picking it up with her fingers and eating it.
Brynlee has LOVED the vaccuum since she was 6 months old. She chases it down every time I vaccuum the house. She isn't scared of it one bit, in fact she likes it so much that she follows the vaccuum in every direction it goes and tries to get on it. She gets in the way and I can't vaccuum unless she is asleep or Taylor is home to hold her while I do it. We tried to get video of her doing it, but of course when we pulled the video camera out she wasn't as funny with it. But this will give you an idea.

Miss Independent

Kamryn has become little miss independent lately. She loves to take off her clothes and she loves to take off her diaper and run around naked. I can't put her in a zip up sweater cause it immediately comes off. She has a hard time taking her shirts off (as you can see in the picture below) but eventually, after some hard work she gets it off.She even likes to help get Brynlee stripped down to a diaper. Oh boy!
She can easily get her pants off, but she has a hard time getting them back on. They usually end up being put on backwards.
She is quite the character lately. And she wants to do everything by herself. She loves to get herself dressed and undressed. She loves to put her shoes on. And she especially loves to take off the diaper. And mom can't help her with any of that.

Our first Easter alone

We had our first Easter alone and it was an eventful day for us. We got to celebrate Easter a little with both sides of the family last week when we were visiting so it made Easter not feel so lonely here in Spokane.

When Kamryn woke up and went into the living room she kept saying "Wow, cool mom". Taylor was in bed still so I made her wait for him to get out of bed so that he could see her. She was really excited. The girls rounded up $20.00 last week with my family at their Easter egg hunt and I saved their money to go get them some new dresses for the summer. This is Kamryn's new dress. I love Old Navy sales, they are the best.
When Brynlee woke up and walked in the living room the first thing she did was walk as fast as she could to her Easter basket. We had two Easter egg hunts already and so she knew that there was gonna be candy in her basket.
Brynlee wouldn't hold up her new dress cause she was too excited about the candy. So here is a little glimpse of what it looks like.
Yay, candy! They were so excited for the candy.
Brynlee couldn't wait to eat her candy. She couldn't even wait long enough for us to open the candy before she put it in her mouth.
The weather here just won't make up it's mind. And of course it had to rain on Easter and so we had to have our Easter egg hunt inside of the house. The girls had fun and I don't think they cared whether we were inside or outside for the hunt. But I am sure sick of this crappy Spokane weather. As you can see Brynlee loves candy. She would put 4 to 5 peanut butter M&M's in her mouth at a time and of course she was drooling everywhere.
So we finally had to strip her down to her diaper cause she was ruining her pretty dress.
Kamryn loved the starburst candies the most and all day long she was sneaking some starburst to eat.
Here are the girls' new summer dresses. For once we got a cute picture of them with me. My girls don't like to smile for the camera and so it is a pain to take a picture.

I know Brynlee looks like she is crying, but actually she happens to be sooooo hyper. Her and Kamryn were on a major sugar high yesterday and they were driving us bonkers. They were all over the house running, screaming, dancing, and making a mess of everything. These next two pictures are of them making plenty enough noise to wake up the neighbors. They kept clapping and saying "YAY" as loud as they could.
Last but not least, we colored some eggs to end the Easter day. The girls loved it and wanted to do it all by themselves.
After we colored the eggs, we put some Disney Princess stickers on them to decorate them. Both of them LOVED this part and couldn't keep their hands to themselves. In fact Brynlee was so excited she decided to pull the eggs off of the table.
WOW, talk about overload on pictures! Hope you all had a Happy Easter!
