Union Station and the Jazz

Took the kids to Union Station to look at the "CHOO CHOO'S" as Tayson would say. They were intrigued but very disappointed they didn't get to go for a ride.


GO JAZZ!

Now that we are back in Utah Taylor has been rooting for the Jazz again. It's been fun to watch them but I hope to be able to go to a game soon. Taylor went to the sports store in the mall and found Tayson this cute Jazz jersey for $7.00. He looks adorable in it! It's a good thing that Tayson likes watching sports with his dad cause his dad is a sports fan. Tayson could sit on the couch with his daddy and watch basketball a lot longer than I could EVER get him to hold still. It's very very cute!

Taylor's 28th Birthday, Valentine's Day, Brynlee Bug's 3rd Birthday.

Taylor's 28th Birthday

On February 11th Taylor turned 28. Holy cow! I remember when I was 21 thinking 28 was so old and now 28 it's just right around the corner for me. Yikes! Taylor has been studying everyday for the last 2 months getting ready to take the bar (final test to become a Lawyer) so we needed that few hrs. to hang out as a family and celebrate his day. I made him his favorite childhood dinner with a big FAT steak, had yummy cake and ice cream, opened a few presents, and it was back to studying.

This cake was delicious. I am not much of a cake or frosting kind of girl and neither is Taylor, so I switched it up. Yellow cake mix for the cake, chocolate pudding for the filling, cool whip and vanilla pudding for the frosting. Sounds kinda different but it seriously was so yummy. It needed to be refrigerated because of the pudding so it made the cake that much more different and tastier. Try it!

Valentine's Day

A few days before Valentine's day we made some sugar cookies....Mmmmm.
We also made a few Valentine's for Grandma's and Grandpa's.

On Valentine's morning the kids woke up to a couch full of treats and some brand new CAPES made with LOVE from mommy.
It's tradition in the NORTH household to always give a small gift to everyone. It's a day to feel special and loved. So I stayed up till 2 in the morning making the kids their capes. I got Taylor some new workout shorts and Taylor got me a Michael Jackson (ya, you heard right....Michael Jackson.....I love his music.) CD and a new pair of pants. My family came that morning to celebrate Valentine's day, Brynlee's birthday, and Taylor's birthday which was soooooo fun. Then later on in the day Taylor's mom, his sister Lindsey, and his sister Ashley and her husband Mat came to our house to have dinner and hang out. It was a funfilled day! It's always tradition to have a fancy dinner too, this year we kept it a little more casual but it felt special to have others to share it with. We had a GREAT day and hope all of you did as well. Happy "V" Day to all!

For Dessert we made homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches and rolled the ice cream in Valentine sprinkles. They were yumm-o!

Brynlee's Bugs 3rd Birthday

We started Brynlee's birthday off by blowing candles out on her Birthday Breakfast Doughnut (tradition). The kids love doing this on their birthday.

Make a wish.....


For the last month Brynlee has been telling everyone that she wants a "Blue dryer" (blow dryer) and "5 toys". She has been sooooooo EXCITED to have her birthday and couldn't stand the wait any longer.

Her wish came true......she got a Disney Princess "Blue Dryer" and "5 toys".


Tayson HAD to help Brynlee open her presents. It was a MUST!

Kamryn couldn't resist testing out the "Blue Dryer" on Tayson. He actually quite enjoyed it.

Brynlee was so happy with all her presents. She got a Kitchen, Dora Dominoe's, Princess Hairdresser set (Blue Dryer), Princess table, Princess fold up chair, Little People bus and a new shirt from Gramma and Grampa Tano, Walkie Talkie's and a new outfit from Gramma Shelly and Bompa. We finished her Birthday off by getting a Happy Meal at McDonald's and playing with toys.

While daddy was studying for the Bar we................

Played Hide and go Seek. Got a little crafty.
I made the girls some dresses out of my old sweaters and used some scrap fabric sitting around the house for a bow and embellishments for the dress.

Made oven gloves out of scrap fabric for Brynlee's new kitchen.

Made a few bibs for Tayson.

Of course this is his favorite.

Had a few sleepovers in mom and dad's room.

Ate like CRAP.

Taylor always took something with him cause he didn't get home till 10 almost every night. And I sure as heck wasn't gonna make some FANCY dinner when I only had a 40% chance of the kids even looking at it. So we ate lots of scrambled eggs, toast, burrito's, mac n' cheese, treats, smoothies, and every other unhealthy thing out there. haha

Brynlee only eats her toast from the middle so her face always ends up looking like this (it's morning, hence the messy hair).

Threw a few tantrums, ok A LOT of tantrums.

This is his new "I didn't get what I want" face. I LOVE IT! It's so stinkin' cute. All he has to do is bat those pretty little eyelashes and he gets WHATEVER he wants. He is getting quite the personality and if you tell him no he runs and screams and cries, or throws himself on the floor and lays on his belly and kicks his legs, but most of the time I get this SWEET little face.

Slept a lot.

Let's face it, to keep my sanity they had to have naps and go to bed early so I could get a break.

These 2 are the best of buds and I go in their room to check on them every night before I go to bed and I almost always find these 2 snuggling. It's so cute!

Took a lot of baths.

Made a few forts in the living room.

Watched a few movies and ate LOTS of popcorn.

Got glammed up.

Made lots and lots of messes.

This is his new favorite thing to do..........yay for me!

Snuggled with dad any chance we got too.

Tried to be the man of the house.

Snuggled with FAVORITE stuffed toys.

Tayson always has to have something to snuggle with in his bed and on this particular day it was all his toys.

That has been the last 2 months in a NUTSHELL. Taylor studied everyday but sunday and has worked super hard. I am glad to have this over with and get life back to normal.
