Kamryn's 3 year old pictures

I can't believe Kamryn is turning 3 in a few weeks! She has grown into such a beautiful little girl. We went and got her pictures taken today and they turned out so cute! She looks so big to me. This black and white one is my favorite.

My mom had taken some pictures of the kids when she was here so I didn't really need to get a picture of all 3 of them. But I figured since I hauled all 3 of them into the studio I might as well take one picture. It turned out pretty good other than Kamryn is giving her fake smile and Tayson is still in the newborn stage and makes funny faces. It was funny cause the photographer kept tickling Tayson and making funny faces to try to get him to smile. Finally I told her that he is only 6 1/2 weeks old and doesn't smile all the time. She laughed and said that she thought he was a couple months old. I can see why she thought that because he is a TANK!

New do

Ok, so have you ever had a bad hair day? Well I have them all the time and yesterday I just couldn't take it anymore. It was too long and it took forever to style my hair and with three kids I needed something a little easier. There are a few girls that I hang out with who are also hairstylists and we do trades every once in awhile, but I couldn't wait. So I grabbed my scissors and started chopping away. It isn't a whole lot different from the other style, other than it is about 2 inches shorter and I stacked the back a lot higher. I wanted a dramatic A-line cut with lots of choppy layers, and that is exactly what I got. I LOVE IT! It is so easy to do and I can't believe that I did such a good job. I guess it pays to be a hairstylist! I have always wanted to cut my own hair, but never dared to do it. I now know I can chop my own hair when I am having a crappy hair day. I also highlighted my hair that same day. I was really in one of those "I hate my hair" moods. It is a little blonder than I wanted, but it's a good change for awhile.

This is what it looks like from the back. If you can't already tell, I was pretty dang proud of myself. It's not easy to cut and highlight the back of your hair.

1 month vs. 6 months

This is Tayson at just a little over a month old and Brody (our friends Tyson and Heather's baby) at 6 months old. Tayson is so big and looks like he could be 3 or 4 months old. Tayson is now almost 14 lbs. I can't believe it! Ok, I have an excuse for looking terrible. I had just finished making dinner and chasing around two crazy little girls. But anywho, this is my friend Heather and her little boy Brody.

Rain, rain go away!

My mom gave the girls these adorable rain jackets and they finally got to use them the other day. It was wet and cold and that didn't stop them from wanting to be outside. These jackets were perfect!

The girls love to jump on Taylor and I when we are on the floor. They are so full of energy and love to play.

Curly Q

We tried sponge curlers again last night and it actually worked and this is what they looked like when we took them out. Kamryn kept telling me "Look mom, I'm beautiful".

Sponge Curlers

I tried using sponge curlers the other night on Kamryn and I found out that her hair is to short. When she woke up in the morning most of the curlers had fallen out. But the ones that had stayed in looked really cute. We will have to try again when her hair is longer.

1 month old

I don't have any good pictures of Tayson when he was born, but this will give you an idea of what he looked like when he was born............
....and what he looks like now. He has gotten huge since the day he was born. I am sure it is hard for you to tell the difference, but we sure can tell. I can't resist kissing his chubby little face!
I can't believe you are a month old already. Time flies and I hate it! You are such a good baby and I am so glad to be your mommy. I love ya bud!

Big boy

Tayson has two days until he is a month old and he is already 11 lbs. 5 oz. I can't believe it! He is huge! His 0-3 month outfits are getting to small already. I am so sad at how fast he is growing. By the time we go back to Utah to visit family in August, he is gonna be HUGE! I am nursing him and obviously he is getting plenty to eat. I tried to nurse the girls but neither one of them gained weight and they didn't like it. So I am so SHOCKED at how well he is doing with it and how big he is getting. I love my chubby little guy!

Go Yankees!

Taylor's parents gave Tayson this cute Yankees hat. It's a little big but I thought we had better put on the Yankees outfit and hat and take a picture and cheer for the Yankees. Go Yankees! Taylor and his family love the Yankees and watch every game. Tayson must like the Yankees too cause he smiled big for the camera.

Camping......in the backyard?

Taylor was outside playing with the girls and it was such a beautiful night that he decided to put up the tent and camp in the backyard with the girls. How cute is that? The girls loved playing in the tent!
We blew up the air mattress and let the girls jump on the bed and goof off. They loved it! Taylor tried to put the girls to sleep, but at about 11 he decided that Brynlee wasn't gonna make it and so we put her to bed in the house. Taylor and Kamryn slept out there all night though. He said it was a little chilly and they had to snuggle all night. I thought it was so cute of him to set up the tent and hang with the girls. I was a little lonely sleeping by myself inside the house. I wish I could have slept outside with them, but it was to cold for Tayson and I have to get up to nurse him at night and it would wake the girls up. Bummer!

Tummy time

Tayson likes to be on his tummy. It surprises me cause my girls didn't like to be on their tummies.

Since the day Tayson was born his little head has been so strong. He bobbles it around and holds it up. His favorite thing to do is arch his head back. He does really well at holding it up when he is on his tummy too.

4th of July activities

We started the 4th of July off by going on a picnic and taking the girls to the park and letting them play. Later that night we headed to our friends Tyson and Heather's house and had a bbq and hung out with all our friends. It was so much fun hanging out with everyone, especially for me because I don't get out much anymore with the 3 kids. Taylor goes to school with all of the boys in this picture. We are so lucky to have found such good friends up here.

Taylor's mom got the kids these cute 4th of July outfits. They looked so cute in them and the girls loved twirling in the dresses. I don't think Tayson enjoyed being held by his sisters though.

Later that night we went to Couer d'Alene and watched the fireworks. Here are the girls waiting for the fireworks.
It was pretty cold that night and I felt so bad for the girls cause I didn't bring them sweaters, but luckily I had brought a bunch of blankets so we all just bundled up together and watched fireworks.

Shout out to my mom

My mom came a couple of weeks ago and spoiled us rotten. She came and watched the girls while I was in the hospital and she stayed for a week to help out. It was so nice to have some help. She kept telling me that she felt like she wasn't helping out enough, but she really did way too much. When she came up she brought some stuff for the girls, and then some stuff for Tayson. It was more like a truck load full of stuff. She brought so much stuff and spent alot of time making blankets and burp rags for the baby. She brought matching outfits for the girls, toys, diapers, blankets, more clothes for the baby, food storage, and much much more. Just when I thought I was done opening stuff she would hand me another box. Here is a little preview of what she brought. This isn't even everything that she brought.

Mom I just want you to know that you did way more than you think you did. You were so good to us. Everytime I mentioned that we were out of something, somehow it would magically appear in our house. Everytime we mentioned something was broken, somehow it would magically be fixed. The pictures you took were so cute and it saved us alot of money so we didn't have to get them done at a studio. The birth announcements turned out adorable and I love them. You were great and you did a ton!

My mom is amazing when it comes to sewing. She made me these cute diaper and wipes holders and is going to make me a diaper bag out of this fabric.

She made me this cute nursing apron which comes in handy when we go out somewhere and I have to feed the baby. I love it! Every nursing mother needs one of these. They are the best!

She made me this baby sling as well and it is so great to have when it comes to shopping. It's kinda hard to shop with three and especially cause the carts are so small. The sling is a life saver and Tayson really likes to be in it. I also like it cause nobody wants to touch the baby when he is in the sling, but when he is in his carseat people tend to stop and touch him. Another great thing to have when you have a newborn.

Shout out to my in-laws

Taylor's mom, dad, and little sis Lindsay came to visit us a week ago and we had a blast! They spoiled the heck out of us and we spent some much needed time with them. We don't get to see our families very often and so it is SOOO much fun for us to have visitors. The girls LOVED having grandma and grandpa around. Taylor had a week break from school and so they came during his break so that we could spend lots of time with them. Taylor and his dad golfed alot while us girls hung out at home and played with the kiddo's. We want to thank you Mike and Michelle for coming to see us and the new baby. We had such a good time and wished that you could have stayed longer. You were so good to us and the kids. Kamryn and Brynlee asked for you guys for a couple of days after you left. Michelle you were great and helped out a ton. Thank you for the gifts, for cleaning, helping with the kids, for making strawberry jam, and for everything else you did. You guys were amazing and we really miss you guys!

Tayson likes to arch his back and his head so that he can just hang. For some reason he likes his little head to be arched all the way back, and it just hangs there. Funny kid!

I think the girls wore grandpa right out. There were many times we found grandpa sleeping while we were watching t.v.

Sadly grandma and grandpa's trip had to come to an end. But the girls thought that they got to go home with them. Brynlee climbed right up grandpa's big truck and sat down like she was going with them.

Tayson went to church for the first time today. We went to sacrament only cause he is only 3 weeks old and I didn't want everyone touching him. He did really good and I just might go to all 3 meetings next week. My mom gave the girls these cute dresses and Tayson this cute little outfit. I had to take a picture cause I thought they looked adorable!

Crazy kid

Once again little Brynlee has found another thing to climb into. She now likes to get in Tayson's bassinett. My eyes have to constantly be on her to make sure that she isn't on the baby. Luckily Tayson wasn't in the bassinet this time.

Brynlee loves her baby brother. She LOVES to hold him. I don't think he likes it to much, but she sure does.
