Dance Recital

Kamryn had her recital on saturday and she did so good. We are so proud of her! Dance has been the best thing for her. She has totally opened up and isn't as shy as she used to be, she gets out of the house, and I get a break for awhile. We are so sad that dance is over for the summer. Poor Kamryn is gonna be heart broken. She LOVES dance class and looks forward to it every week. We look forward to it starting again in August.

My little Princess!

What a cheese ball! Brynlee is a little busy eating a cookie and didn't want to smile.

After the recital they played music while everyone chatted and ate treats. And the girls found the stairs to the stage and stood on them and danced for everyone. It was cute. Brynlee loves to copy her big sis and even knows a few of the steps to Kamryn's dances. It is so cute to watch her!

Half way through the dance my camera stopped recording and so the rest of the dance is on the other video. You only miss about 5 seconds of the dance. This first video at the beginning is pretty funny. One of the girls had a wardrobe malfunction and so Kamryn and another girl decided to show off. It was cute! Kamryn is the third girl in with the curls.

After the recital all the dads went up on stage and did a bow with their little girl, waved to the audience, and walked off the stage to the song "Waiting for my prince". But Kamryn was soooooo excited to see her dad and so she just ran to him and hugged him and didn't care to wave to the audience. She loves her daddy!

First ponytail

Every morning Kamryn and I sit in the girls bedroom and we do her hair. Brynlee gets a little jealous and wants her hair done as well. She loves to do everything that her big sister does. She grabs the comb and combs her hair, she opens the ziploc bags to the hairstuff and puts the hair things on her head, and squirts the squirt bottle on herself. So the other day I decided to put a little ponytail in her hair and this is what she looked like. It was cute but there isn't quite enough hair on her head to do her hair. Poor girl always has to have a headband on cause otherwise she looks like a boy.

"Smells"

Every morning when I am putting on my makeup, Kamryn has to have her "Smells". She likes to put chapstick on (smells) until it is all over her face. But today I let her have some of my lipgloss and she really liked it. Brynlee had to join in today as well. She has found a love for "Smells" as well, but I know better than that. No "Smells" for Brynlee!!!!!! She will have to settle for my blush brush. But as you can see.....Kamryn let her have some "Smells".
I guess I should teach her that it is for her face and not to brush her hair.

Little Dare Devil!!!!

Brynlee has been into and onto everything lately! I think this crappy weather is really getting to her. She gets bored and loves to try new things. Not only does she like to dress up, but now she likes to get in the dress up box.

The girls decided to dump all the toys out of their toy box and get in it and play. I found the two of them laughing at each other in the toy box. They love to play together!
She is so sneaky and manages to get herself out of and into the tightest places. As soon as she is finished with her food she immediately squeezes her little body out of the highchair and stands on the tray. Unfortunately I threw away the straps to tie her down. They were getting so gross and we never used them so I decided to just throw them away. BIG MISTAKE!

When and (if) we ever have a semi-warm day I let the girls go outside and play. But I have now found that whether she is inside or out she manages to find something to climb on. She likes to climb up the ladder to the slide backwards. She has fallen forward a few times. OH BOY!

The coffee table is another one of her favorite things to climb on. We were hangin out as a family dancing to some music and the girls decided to climb on the coffee table and do "Head, shoulders, knees, and toes"! THERE IS NO STOPPING HER!

She isn't much of a t.v. watcher but she sure enjoys being right in front of it. I am so afraid that this armoire is going to tip over on top of her. CRAZY KID!
I was getting ready for the day and I noticed that it was really quiet. So I went out of the bathroom to go check on Brynlee and this is what I found. She climbed on top of the table and was eating my potpourri (don't know how to spell that). SHE HAS NO FEAR!

I caught her in the act this time. I didn't get to see her climbing onto the table the first time, but this time I happened to catch her trying to do so. Our table is really high and I am SHOCKED that she is able to climb the chairs and get herself onto the table!

Kamryn's bed is another favorite. The two of them together bounce on the bed and just laugh their little heads off.

Every morning when Taylor leaves for school the girls climb the couch and sit on the window seal and wave to their dad. But now it has just become another place that they love to be.

Needless to say we have had many bumps, bruises, scrapes, falls, and tears from this kid!

Talent Show Dance

Here is the video of Kamryn dancing at the ward talent show. She was not the least bit afraid, she was just in shock to see how many people were there. The audience was laughing at her and smiling and so she decided that it was ok to start dancing. This video doesn't do it justice, it was so much funnier live. Taylor said that all the girls looked like the kids on the movie "The Little Rascals", and that Kamryn looked like Darla. I thought that was so cute and they really do look like the little rascals. Kamryn was so sad when they were done dancing. She really wanted to get back up there and dance again. I guess this is a good practice round for her recital.

Ward Talent Show

Kamryn's dance class performed for our ward Talent Show and they all looked so cute. They performed "When I Grow Up", by Shirley Temple. I decided to curl Kamryn's hair for the show and I have to say that she looks a little like Shirley Temple. She looked so cute and she kept saying "Wow mom, it's so cute"! This is her before the Talent Show.

My mom sent me these gifts for my birthday and I was so excited to get a few things from one of my favorite stores....Krumpets (in St. George). She also made me an apron. I made an apron for my sister in law and mother in law for christmas and this was the style (different fabric though). I haven't gotten around to making one for myself yet so it was a good thing that my mom did. My big prego belly seems to catch on everything and when I cook my shirts always end up with something on it. Doing the dishes as well is a struggle for me, I always seem to get my belly soaked by the time I am done. I should just use this as a bib too cause I always manage to drop something on my belly when I eat! Ha ha ha........the joys of being pregnant!!!!!

So I was totally clueless as to who put that Happy Birthday post on our blog, and then I finally got it out of Taylor. My good friend Shauna posted that on our blog and I want to say thank you for doing that Shauna. Thanks to everyone who sent cards, gifts, and who left comments and wished me a Happy Birthday. I have the greatest friends and family. Thank you! Shauna.....how did you know it was my birthday and how did you post that on our blog? I thought for sure my mom or Taylor did that! Thanks again!

New swingset

We scored us a smokin' hot deal on a swingset for the girls, and let me tell you that it has been heaven for me to have. The weather has been beautiful and it finally feels like spring. The girls have been outside the last few days and it has made the day so much easier. We have some friends that are moving back to Utah in May and they wanted to get rid of their swingset and so we told them that we wanted it. They were so nice to offer it to us. Thanks Ryan and Katie!

Bored!!!

The weather has been crappy and I was bored and happened to find a good deal on some fabric and decided to make the baby some blankets. I really like camo for babies and I thought this fabric was so cute. My mom bought me a sewing machine when we moved up here and I have only pulled it out a few times, so I had a little trouble figuring the machine out, but I did it!

Baby brother

NO, I did not have the baby!!!!! Our good friends Brian and Emily had their first baby about a week and a half ago and Kamryn likes to call him baby brother. Brynlee LOVES babies and she can't get enough of their baby! She didn't care who was holding the baby, she had to be right next to him. She would pat his belly and rub his hair. She was really cute with him.

She doesn't look real happy, but she really was so happy to get to hold the baby. She is gonna love her new baby. Although I think she is gonna be a little jealous. The other day I was holding a baby and she was not the least bit happy with me. She had to sit on my lap and the baby had to be on my leg.
Kamryn wasn't as excited about the baby. She held him, pet his head and gave him a kiss and then wanted to watch Cinderella. She really likes to call him baby brother though. They came over the other night again and Kamryn was a lot more excited to see him. She kept telling him "It's ok, don't cry". She gave him so many kisses that he probably doesn't ever want to be kissed again. We are so sad that Brian graduates in May and will be moving back to Utah. We have really enjoyed having dinner with them and hanging out with them. Brian and Taylor are really good buds and I think they are gonna miss each others company. Congrats on finishing school Brian and we are gonna miss you guys a ton!!!

Make way for princess Brynlee

Ok, so I know you are all probably thinking that we enforce princess stuff on our girls, but let me tell you that this is all Brynlee's idea. She watches Kamryn dress up and have fun and so she decided that she wanted to join in. The other day she brought me the snow white dress up dress and had me put it on her. It doesn't stop there.......

She even puts the shoes on all by herself. Brynlee LOVES shoes. And it doesn't matter what kind of shoe or who's shoe it is. As soon as she see's that you have a shoe for her or when she finds it on her own she says "shoe". It is so clear and it is so cute. But the shoe still isn't enough......She has to have a wand too!
She can't quite figure out how to put the crown on and so she settles for putting it on like a necklace. She really has liked to dress up this past week and I can't believe that at 14 months old she would be interested.

Kamryn has a c.d. from her dance class that she listens to at home so that she can practice her dance for the recital, and Brynlee has a favorite part of the song that she LOVES to dance to. It happens to be the snow white part of the song and she dances so cute to it. She usually will only dance to this one part of the song. She is such a goof ball!

Taylor has taught Brynlee how to say stop and to hold her hand up when she says it. She says "dop". It 's so cute! This video is of them splashing in the tub and Taylor was trying to get them to stop and instead it became a game.

Baby Bump

Many of you have asked to see my growing belly. Well....here it is. So Brooke, Kate, and a few of you others who have said that I don't have a baby bump, you were wrong. I totally do. I feel huge this pregnancy and with each pregnancy you get bigger and bigger and I hate it. I feel like a fat cow. I have 11 weeks left and I swear I only have 5 more to go. This pregnancy has seemed to take forever. I think it is because it is such crappy weather here and so you don't get to get out much and it makes the time go by so SLOW! I am hoping that it will warm up here soon so that we can go outside and play, plant a garden, go swimming and do all of the fun summer things to help pass the time by.

DOES SPRING EXIST?

This is what I woke up to this morning. It is April 5th and it is STILL snowing here. I am so SICK of this freakin weather. My girls are going crazy and want to play outside, and I am going crazy as well. I thought that I would never say this, but I totally miss St. George's weather. I HATE St. George summers, but at this point I am so ready for the HOT weather. I am going CRAZY!!!!!!

Our New Home

My mother in law and a few others have been asking me to post pictures of our new house for quite awhile now. So, I am finally getting around to it. I actually had video taped the house like 3 times, but the lighting in the house is crappy and so it didn't work. I was hoping that it would so that you could get the virtual tour of our house. But I guess we will just have to settle for pictures. So Michelle and Shauna this is for you since you have been so patiently waiting.

The kitchen. I hate the color of the cabinets and so I might eventually stain it a different color. Our landlord is pretty cool about updating the house (as long as he doesn't have to do it).
Now on to the downstairs. As I was taking this picture Brynlee figured out how to go downstairs. She did so good, and I couldn't believe how well she did without anybody telling her what to do. I don't like the color of these walls, in fact I hate them and so I hope to be able to paint them a tan color. I hate pink walls, it looks terrible.
