Strawberry Pickin' at Green Bluff

We went to Green Bluff with some friends this weekend and had a great time. Green Bluff is a bunch of farms in a loop and each farm has a little something different to offer. This time of season was the time for some tasty strawberries. Each month they have a different fruit that you can go pick as well as great jams, pies, food, and FUN activities. It is a BEAUTIFUL country out by the farms.
Brynlee could not wait to pay for the strawberries so she snuck a few beforehand (as you can see by the red staining on her shirt).

Tayson didn't enjoy pickin' strawberries as much as the girls did but he did enjoy this HUGE dog that sits outside of one of the farms. It was the sweetest most relaxed dog I have ever met. He let Tayson pull his hair and pick his nose without moving an inch. Tayson LOVES dogs and he bounces and gets excited whenever he see's a dog. He attempts to say dog by saying "DU" and making the barking sound "WU WU".

Kamryn and Brynlee were having so much fun finding strawberries. It was such a fun experience for them. It was such a beautiful day and all of the green hills surrounding us made the adventure so fun for all of us.

The farm that we were at offered "Wiggle" rides for the kids. Here are the girls and their little friend Brody on the "Wiggle" ride. They did good for a second and then Brody got scared and wanted out and so then Brynlee got scared too and wanted out so Kamryn went on a ride all by herself and she quite enjoyed it.Brynlee probably snuck 10 or more strawberries while we were picking them and so I had to snap a few pictures.

Last but not least they had the cutest little sandbox full of dried up peas. It was so cool and so fun. Less messy than a real sandbox and a little more interesting too.

Farewell.....

You may think I am crazy to post about Michael Jackson but as a child I had a MAJOR crush on him and loved watching him perform. He was so talented and came out with some major hits and will go down in history as the "King of Pop". He may have gotten a little weird in past years (I can only hope that the rumors are not true but unfortunately they probably are) but overall he is an amazing entertainer and has some GREAT dance moves. His legacy will live on forever through his music, crazy fashion, and dance talent. He has inspired so many young performers and so many of us girls have danced to him in dance and Drill Team. His music is one of a kind and I LOVE so many of his songs and was looking forward to a great comeback and another hit but unfortunately that will not happen. I am sad to hear of his death only because I am a fan of his music. He will be missed! (Don't get me wrong here people.....he was a little coo coo......but he had some great music and none of you can deny the fact that you have listened to his music and still do. He has some GREAT songs out there.) A piece of my childhood is missing now that he is gone. I grew up on his music as many of you did and so many more will. In the 70's and 80's he was a handsome young man and had so much going for him and unfortunately his life took a turn in the 90's and as we all know.....he had some issues and did some weird things. He will continue to inspire so many people even after his tragic death. I (as many of you) remember the young talented Michael Jackson, and try not to remember the terrible rumors that the media revealed and what he did to himself in his later years. I am saddened! (weird, believe me I already know). I have been watching MTV, and all of his greatest hits and music videos are on in Memory of him. LOVE IT!

HOW CUTE IS THIS!?!?!?!?

I can only hope that Taylor and I will be as cute as this couple when we are old folks! They are adorable! I am not a You Tube watcher but I was sent this video through email and I have probably watched it 5 times and I laugh just as hard as I did the 1st time I saw it. It is so cute! Pause my music to hear the video.

Tayson turned 1

Tayson had his 1st birthday yesterday (June 16th). I can't believe my baby is 1. It makes me so sad to see him grow up so fast. Sometimes I wish they would grow out of some of the crazy stages they get too, but they grow up so fast that I wish I could just take it all in and enjoy it rather than wish it away. It was a happy day and at the same time a sad day because it means he is growing up on me. I started a tradition to give the kids a birthday donut for breakfast with a candle on it that they can blow out. I forgot Tayson's donut for breakfast and gave it to him for lunch (I am sure he didn't mind). He LOVED the donut!
Tayson LOVED the balloons I blew up for him and chased them all over the place.
Kamryn for days has been talking about Tayson's birthday and had to make sure we were having a party and to have party hats. She was so EXCITED!

The girls waiting so patiently for Tayson to open his presents......ok not really. They couldn't wait and they didn't mind helping him out just a little bit.
Here he is after a few of his presents were opened. Can't you tell he is so excited? LOL

I don't know why this "giving your 1 year old a cake so they can make a mess and smash their face in it and have a good time" tradition ever started. I get so excited for it and all 3 of my kids hated it. Not 1 of them enjoyed it and smashed their faces in it or anything. It has always been such a disappointment for me to watch. But somehow it is still fun and we all carry on the tradition even though a 1 year old could care less. Good memories right? It is fun to watch, but not as cool as I always thought it was going to be. Tayson is my 1st baby to cry about his cake though. Must have tasted pretty bad!!!!! Don't know what to think about it.

Well, maybe just a little bite.

Just a little though. Not too much.

Na, nope, don't like it. Get me outta here! This is Tayson's cake and I think it is so cute. It was super easy and super fun. It just reminds me of Tayson. He loves to play in the dirt and get dirty. Unfortunately cake isn't as fun as dirt.

Mommy and the birthday boy.

Daddy and the birthday boy.
Happy Birthday Tayson! We love you to pieces and we are so glad you joined our little fam. It wouldn't be the same without you and I am looking forward to many more birthdays with you. Love ya little man!

Take me out to the ball game........

Taylor has been playing ward softball and Tayson loves to watch.

Sandpoint

We have had a fun filled weekend with Emmett and Ashlee and their 3 kids who happened to be the same age as ours. We spent the night at their place, ate a yummy dinner, the girls had a sleepover, and finished the weekend off by going to Sandpoint Lake. It was our first time at this Lake and it was worth the drive and we had a good time. We are gonna miss these guys when we move and the kids are gonna miss each other as well. Thanks for the fun weekend!

Walking

Tayson has been standing on his own for quite some time now and took his first steps about two weeks ago. He still crawls to most places when he wants to get there fast but will also randomly just stand up and walk. He walks like Frankenstein, stiff and slow. It's pretty cute and I will post a video of him walking soon. Can't believe my little guy is big enough to walk.

These two pictures of him on the red chair are my favorite. He was all tuckered out after mom and dad were making him walk so he relaxed on the chair and hung out. He looked so cute and his smile is adorable so I could not resist putting these pictures up.

Liberty Lake

This summer we are trying to soak in all the fun activities that Spokane has to offer before we move back to Utah. I set up a play date with some friends and we headed to Liberty Lake to bask in the sun. The kids had fun and it was fun to get together with all the mommies and chit chat a bit. Hope to do it again soon.

Sneaky, sneaky

We made cookies as a family after church last week and the kids probably had 4 cookies each. Taylor and I told them no more cookies, and then of course what do they do?..........They sneak some cookies and hide under the table so mom and dad can't see. It was so funny that I couldn't get mad at them, I just had to laugh. I thought it was even funnier that they snuck a cookie for Tayson as well and that he joined in on the fun and hid under the table.

Just playing around

I was just playing on the computer today and this is what I made. Pretty cute I must say!
