Halloween Festivities

The Pumpkin Patch at Green Bluff Farms was a blast. Green Bluff is a bunch of farms that are in a loop that have activities throughout the year. They have cherry picking, apple and peach picking, strawberry picking, but the best time to go is during the month of october where you can pick your own pumpkin. Each farm has different activities, orchards, rides, corn mazes, pumpkin picking and launching, and wonderful food. It is amazing and soooooo much fun! Brynlee's favorite ride was the Little toot ride. She was all smiles. She just laid back and enjoyed the ride. Kamryn on the other hand was a wuss and wouldn't step near the toot ride. Kamryn just wanted to go in the bounce house and make poor little Brynlee fly all over the place. Kamryn jumps so big and so high that Brynlee is being thrown around like a pumpkin. My favorite part was eating a BIG Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and being together as a fam.





Our ward had a cute little party for the families. They had a different activity in each room. They had a doughnut eating contest, cake walk, coloring, haunted house, face painting (the girls favorite), picture taking, and much much more. It was a lot of fun to socialize with the adults and let the kids play and have a good time.

I love getting in the festive spirit, and so to get ourselves in the halloween spirit we carved/colored pumpkins, made caramel apples, and toasted pumpkin seeds. Tayson is too small to join in on the fun so he just kicked back in the highchair and watched us play. The girls on the other hand had too much fun with the markers and had marker stains on their faces, hands, and clothes. Holidays are getting to be so much fun now that the girls are getting bigger and understanding more. They love halloween, especially because the know if they say trick-or-treat they get a candy.

Halloween Party at Dance Class

Kamryn's dance class had a little Halloween Party and a spooky Halloween performance for the mom's. She looked so cute at Dance class and she had so much fun performing, making ghosts out of suckers, and passing out candy. Her little lady bug tutu fell off in dance class in case you were wondering where her costume was. Pause the music at the bottom of my blog so you can see her cute little dance.

Baking with mom

 

The girls and I made a German Chocolate cake for our sunday treat. They loved watching the kitchen aid mixer mix the cake, licking the spatula's, watching the cake bake, but their favorite thing was to be able to eat the cake and make a mess of themselves. They were such big helpers and I had so much fun baking with them.

Hich School Musical 3

 

 

Ok, I know what you are all thinking "High School Musical, Really"? Well, one of my girlfriends called me and asked if I would like to go to High School Musical 3. She wanted me to go so bad and also wanted me to watch the first two movies to get me a little more excited about it. I was a little hesitant at first, but needed a break from the kids. Taylor told me to just get the heck out of the house and go have a good time (even if it was a movie I didn't care to see). So I went......and actually enjoyed the movie. It was a little cheesy, but very cute at the same time. It made me feel young again to be sitting in a theatre full of teenage girls drooling over Zach Efron. Thanks Ashley for calling me and getting me out of the house, I had a good time. Now we just need to get together and watch the first two.

Fall is HERE!

All the beautiful leaves have fallen off of our tree in the front yard, so I took the kids out to play in it and I took a BILLION pictures. I took so many pictures and they all turned out so pretty that I couldn't decide which pictures to post, so I made a video so you could see all of them. I love taking pictures and find so much joy in doing it. I only wished I had a really nice camera so my pictures could be better. But for now what I have works and eventually I will get a nice camera and hopefully be able to take pictures someday. The girls loved playing in the leaves. They wrestled each other, kicked leaves around, jumped in the leaves and so much more. I put Tayson down on a blanket in the leaves and he screamed, so I took him off the blanket to take pictures and he was SOOOOOOO happy. He LOVED the leaves. He was licking them, talking to them, and kicking them all over the place. He sat out there for probably an hour while we played and he enjoyed every minute of it. The weather was beautiful and the sun was shining, it made for a perfect day.

A.D.D????.........Possibly!!!!!

Ok, so I don't really think Brynlee has A.D.D but sometimes I wonder if she is ever gonna wear herself out. She can't sit still for 2 seconds. She is all over the place. She has just figured out how to climb the cabinets to get onto the countertop so she can get herself a drink. Aaaaahhhh! What am I gonna do with this kid? She also has figured out how to climb up her dresser to get her bracelets. Needless to say......I look forward to nap time every day. The other night Taylor was on the phone with his dad and Brynlee decided that she needed some attention and so she took off her diaper, well............she had crapped her pants and so now the diarrhea is running down her legs, the diaper landed on the ground sideways so the poop was oozing out onto the carpet. Did that gross you out enough? It grossed me out for sure. The carpet cleaner was busted out to clean up the crap on the carpet. Brynlee you drive me crazy, but then I look at your sweet little face and it calms me down. Love ya kid!

Sooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, could this picture get any bigger? I am so excited for this movie to come out! If I remember correctly the movie comes out on November 21st. Woo hoo! The best part is that I will be in St. George during this time and will have babysitters so that I can have a night out with the ladies and go see a movie (this is much needed!!!!!). I know there are so many of you obsessed fans out there who would love to go to this movie with me. I need a night out and if there are any of you girlies that would like to come with me I would love to have you. The more the merrier. Can't wait! Projects/New things

I finally made my first Hooter Hider. Woo hoo! I am so excited and I think my mom would be proud of me for doing it all on my own and not needing any help. I lost the hooter hider that my mom had made me and so I made one all by myself.

You can all just call me Mrs. Crafty from now on. Ha ha, I am totally kidding. But my house has been full of projects for me to finish and I am just now getting them done. I made these curtains to go in my kitchen and I love how they turned out.

Here are a few projects that I made with my ward.

Ok, I know, you don't have to tell me I have like a billion bows for my girls. I had so many bows and no place to put them, so my mom gave me this idea. It turned out ok, but I know my mom could have done a better job. But it's functional for now.


Another project I made with my ward. It's a wipe case cover. How cute is that? I love it cause I can stick it in my purse and it looks so cute in there.

My mom has made me so many cute aprons but I had no place to showcase them and make it easy for me to get them out to use when I cook. So I bought a hook holder thingy (thanks to Tai-Pan) and hung them all on the hook. I also do trade with a girl who does vinyl boards, and this is one of my new boards.

Ok mom, you should totally be proud of me.........I made my first tablecloth. I think it turned out pretty cute! I was having Bunco at my house and needed a cute festive halloween tablecloth to go on my fold up table for the treats. It was so easy to make and I am starting to like sewing a lot more and find myself always wanting to do more projects. I am finally understanding how my sewing machine works and it makes sewing a lot easier and more enjoyable.


Last but not least (this is for my mother in law Michelle).....Drum roll please......ta daw, here is our new bedroom set. I have wanted a new bedroom set for the longest time so I took Taylor bedroom set shopping, but unfortunately the prices are ridiculously high and as poor Law Students we just couldn't bring ourselves to getting a brand new set. So Taylor said I could look on craigslist to find a smokin' hot deal. Well...........we totally found a SMOKIN' HOT STEAL OF A DEAL...........FREE! When I saw the picture of it I thought to myself "No way", but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. It is quite a bit older, and very unique and that is what made me like it. I just wanted a bedroom set that matched, I didn't really care what it looked like. So I am happy with it and it will last us for a few more years until we can afford a brand new one. I could use a few more decorations to fill the room out, but we are slowly getting there.

I also made Kamryn's Halloween costume, but you can't see it until Halloween. Stay tuned for the rest of my projects, give me a couple of months to finish the others. I am a little slow sometimes.

4 month stats

Oh my goodness, I can't believe my little man is 4 months old. Time flies way too fast. Tayson is such a happy baby. He loves to hang out and talk to us and kick his little feet as hard as he can. He loves to suck on his little thumb (which drives me absolutely bonkers, I am not a fan of thumb sucking). He refuses to take the binky but so badly wants to suck on something and so of course he resorts to his thumb. It is so much easier to get rid of a binky than it is a thumb. So right now we just continually pull his thumb out of his mouth like 500 times a day in hopes that he will stop (cross my fingers). He is such a joy in our lives right now and I am so blessed, lucky and grateful to have this little guy in my life. At his 4 month check-up he weighed in at 17.4 lbs and was in the 88th percentile for weight (surprisingly he has dropped in the last little bit). His head was 17 in. around and was in the 72nd percentile. He was 28.3 in. long and is in the 100th percentile for height. Wow! He is gonna be so TALL. What a big boy!

Funny Girl

I found Kamryn on the couch with her shirt up and her baby on her stomach, so I asked Kamryn what she was doing and she said to me "I am feeding my baby mom, she is hungry". It made me laugh pretty hard.

Balding?

Tayson is totally losing his hair. He used to have thick dark hair that I loved to put in a sweet mohawk. Now it is totally gone and it has totally turned blonde. No more mowhawk. It makes me sad cause I LOVED his little mowhawk. I found a picture of Brynlee and Tayson when he was a few weeks old and had hair and a recent picture of the two of them. He has changed so much and he is half the size of Brynlee.

For Grandma's and Grandpa's

Brynlee is a little talking machine. I couldn't get all of her cute words and sayings into one video cause I would forget what she says or she wouldn't want to sit long enough to talk. So here are quite a few videos of her. She talks so much and copies everything that comes out of our mouths. She is only 20 months old but talks better than most 2 year olds. She is so cute and I wish you could all hear all of her cute words, but if that were the case I would have way too many videos on here. So enjoy some of the ones we have right now. Don't forget to turn off the music!

Backyardigans/Sleeping Beauty

Brynlee and Kamryn love to watch the Backyardigans (I can't stand to watch this show) and dance and sing to the show when it comes on.

Brynlee has grown to love the movie Sleeping Beauty (only cause Kamryn watches it all the time) and loves to sing the song "I know you". She is so cute and sings it all the time.

Sweet giggles

I love Tayson's little laugh, it totally makes my day. He is such a stinker though. He knows when the camera is out and he gets a little camera shy and won't belt out in a huge laugh like he normally would, but it's still so cute.

Sneaky ,Sneaky

Brynlee thinks she is so sneaky. When I leave the room Brynlee gets into my purse and pulls out like 5 or 6 pieces of gum and stuffs it into her mouth and tries to chew it in a way so that I won't notice.

Did I mention Brynlee is crazy????

Brynlee is too smart for her own good! She can't hold still for more than two seconds. The first three pictures are of her stuffing her jammies full of her toys. She had them so full that she could barely move, it was full from the feet on up to her chest. What a crack up!

The next picture is of her trying to sneak out of the house. She wanted to go into the backyard and play but I told her it was too cold. So she decided to go get her stool and try to unlock the door. She unlocked it but couldn't get the door open, but I am positive that soon enough she will figure out how to open the door.

The bottom left picture is of Brynlee climbing out of her crib. I thought this day would never come, but unfortunately it has. I put her down for a nap one day and went to check on her and found her sitting on the changing table. Later that night I put her to bed and went to check on her and I caught her in the act. I had to take a picture.

The next picture is of Brynlee trying to swing naked. Taylor was playing with her outside and of course she stripped down and ran around the backyard naked.

Last but not least, I tried a few of your suggestions on how to keep Brynlee's jammies and diaper on........well it didn't work out so well. I put her jammies on backwards thinking that there is no way possible that she can get out of them. Boy was I wrong........she found a way to sneak out of them.

I know most of my posts are about how crazy Brynlee is, but seriously she keeps me on my toes and I love to show everybody all the funny things she does. She surprises me everyday with new things. Funny kid!

I was looking back at old pictures and thought to myself "I have aged so much in the last 4 years". I guess kids will do that to ya. I can't believe how much younger I looked when I had Kamryn. I can't believe how much I have changed in the last year. Juggling 3 kids and not getting any sleep is taking a toll on me. I seriously feel like and old fart now, or at least look like one. I think what makes me feel so old is that every time I have a baby I lose my hair, eyelashes, and I have big bags under my eyes. It usually takes about 4 months before I start losing my hair and eyelashes. I lost the most hair with Brynlee so far, but I am just in the beginning stages with losing everything after Tayson. The last couple of weeks the drain in the shower is full after I shower, and when I put my mascara on everyday I lose about 5 eyelashes each time. I hate this so bad!!!!!!

It's not very often that Taylor takes pictures or gets a hold of the camera, but the other night he snapped a few pictures while I was on the floor playing with the kids.

Can anyone help?

I don't know what to do with this kid? She is way too smart. She figures everything out and climbs onto anything and everything. She has now figured out how to take off her pj's, pants, and worst of all...........the diaper. She DOES NOT keep a diaper on for anything and when we try to put it back on, she screams. I will get her all dressed in the morning and leave for a couple minutes to get ready and I come back to find a naked Brynlee. The funniest so far was when I layed her down to go to bed and I plopped on the couch to relax for awhile, I later got up to check on the girls and put their covers back on them before I went to bed............and then I found Brynlee butt naked with her pj's off and her diaper right next to her. It was too funny to get mad, but she does it so often now that I get more and more aggrivated each time she does it. I am to the point where I am gonna start duct taping it on. Any ideas on how to help me out?
